Art exhibition of Modern, Abstract Expressionist, Pop & Contemporary Masters

GALLERY 928 at Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marina Village
5991 Silver King Boulevard, Suite 108, Cape Coral, Florida 33914

Gallery 928 is taking our guests on a journey from “Modern to Pop & Beyond!” We invite you to join your hosts on this extraordinary journey.

Among the highlights of the exhibition are five oil on panel paintings by founding Abstract Expressionist artist, Jackson Pollock. Pollock is recognized as one of the most financially valuable artists in history having had individual paintings sell for up to $164,000,000. For the first time in a commercial, non-institutional setting, the abstract photographs of Herbert Matter, which inspired Jackson Pollock to create his revolutionary series of drip paintings, will be displayed alongside the paintings themselves.

Also included in the exhibition are significant paintings, drawings, graphics and sculptures by Andy Warhol, Robert Rauschenberg, Franz Kline, Pablo Picasso, Marc Chagall, Joan Miro, Salvador Dali, Paul Jenkins, Willem de Kooning, Mark Kostabi, Peter Max, LeRoy Neiman, James Rosenquist, Jim Dine, Ronnie Landfield, Ian Hornak and Scott Kahn.

The exhibition will open with a condensed screening of the award winning documentary “My Life is Black and White”  about the life and work of leading 20th century celebrity photographer, Jack Mitchell, presented by acclaimed filmmaker, Craig Highberger. Mr. Highberger will then provide a fascinating presentation of the history of the nearly 20 iconic photographs by Mitchell on display in the current exhibition!
